Online therapy anywhere in Florida

If you are physically in Florida at the time of your session, we can meet by secure video. You might be in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Tallahassee or somewhere much smaller. The work is the same careful conversation, with different practical conditions around it.

Where you are during the session matters.

I am licensed to work with clients physically located in Florida at the time of the session. Your permanent address is not enough if you happen to be traveling elsewhere that day. If a trip takes you out of state, we would reschedule for a time when you are back in Florida. That is a practical limit on online care, not a judgment about how urgent your concerns feel.

The city names above are examples, not additional office locations. My only office is in Vero Beach. Online appointments let people across Florida access psychotherapy without making the drive. The service areas overview explains the in-person option and links to pages for nearby Treasure Coast communities.

It is worth mentioning travel plans early, especially if your work routinely takes you across state lines. A reliable session time is useful, but it must also be one we can actually keep. We can discuss scheduling around your time in Florida rather than discovering the location issue after you have made room in your day.

Privacy is a condition of speaking freely.

A secure video connection protects the channel, but it cannot make a crowded room private. Think about whether anyone can hear you through a door, whether a family member might walk in, and whether headphones would help. You do not need a beautiful or quiet home. You do need enough uninterrupted space to talk honestly.

Some subjects feel easier to approach from a familiar room. Other subjects become harder there, especially if the people involved are nearby. We can notice that without making a rule about which setting is best. If video from home is not workable, the Vero Beach office is the in-person alternative when travel is possible.

Online therapy can fit a day with limited travel time, a caregiving schedule, or a long distance from Vero Beach. It is not a shortcut through the relationship. There is still time to settle in, to notice where a conversation becomes difficult, and to pause rather than pushing through. The screen changes the setting, not the need for care and attention.

Attention does not require the same room.

Individual psychotherapy can involve talking about anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, relationships or a life transition. We can pay attention to the body as part of talk therapy, too: changes in breathing, bracing, restlessness or shutdown. The somatic therapy page describes that way of noticing without treating the body as a problem to force into calm.

Psychedelic integration is also offered through telehealth to people physically in Florida. It is talk therapy for reflecting on and making sense of an experience, not a medicine-assisted session. The integration therapy page explains the scope. No substance is provided, prescribed, administered or arranged as part of integration work.

The principles that guide sessions are the same online and in person: attunement first, capacity before intensity, patterns are adaptive, and regulation is relational. On the approach page, I describe what those mean in practice. If it feels hard to open up over a screen, that difficulty is something we can talk about rather than treating it as a failure of the format.

Not every service moves online.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is not an online session. It takes place in person alongside a qualified medical provider. I provide psychotherapy; the medical provider handles the medical component, including screening, dosing, medication management and safety. The ketamine-assisted psychotherapy page describes the division of responsibilities. Video cannot substitute for that setting.

This is an important distinction if you are looking at several kinds of support. Integration by video and medicine-assisted psychotherapy are not alternate names for the same thing. Asking what is actually involved is sensible, and the free consultation is a place to clarify which service, if any, fits your situation.

The practice is private pay and out of network. No insurer is billed directly, and a superbill is provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement. The rates page lists fees and questions to ask your plan. There is a free phone consultation of up to 15 minutes if you want to start with logistics and scope rather than trying to decide from a web page alone.
